This colorful lithograph by Henri Matisse is based on the famous Thousand and One Nights story collection from the Islamic Golden Ages. Done in Matisse's signature style, the long landscape-oriented piece shows several vignettes that represent just a few of the stories from the collection. The piece is signed in the plate in the lower right.
