Salvador Dalí (Spanish, 1904-1989) created this relief after his painting titled "Gala Contemplating the Mediterranean Sea". Through Dali's abstracted image we see the form of his beloved wife Gala, her dark hair creating Lincoln's left eye. This is a silver-plated bronze bas relief, backed by felt, signed and numbered in the plate.
