Maternite is a lithograph on Arches Paper after a 1921 work by Spanish artist Pablo Picasso (1881 - 1973), artist's proof AP 18 of 34, from the Marina Picasso Estate Lithograph Collection. The print reproduces Picasso's tender Neoclassical composition depicting a young mother with long dark hair cradling a sleeping infant, rendered in soft grey lithographic washes and delicate pencil-like line.
