Tourist Group is a gelatin silver print from On the Acropolis, a portfolio of 25 photographs by Tod Papageorge made on the Athenian Acropolis in the summers of 1983 and 1984. The image depicts a close grouping of tourists — two women in sunglasses, a man with a guidebook, and three young children — resting together on ancient stone steps, pressed close in the summer heat. Signed, titled, numbered and dated in pencil on verso.
