"Wailing Wall" is an acrylic painting on Masonite by American artist Morris Katz (1931-2010), dated 1974. The work depicts the Western Wall plaza in Jerusalem in thick impasto, with a row of uniformed figures gathered at the base of the ancient stone wall, cypress trees visible above the upper wall, under a blue sky. Measures 24 x 20 inches; signed and dated lower right.
