Wisteria by the Pond is a chromogenic print from The Giverny Portfolio, a portfolio of 25 photographs by Stephen Shore (b. 1947) made with an 8x10 view camera during three trips to Monet's gardens at Giverny in 1977, 1982, and 1983, and printed at Laumont Photographics by Kylie Wright under Shore's supervision. The image depicts cascading clusters of mauve wisteria blooms hanging over the edge of the famous water garden pond, their lavender and white masses reflected in the still green water below. Signed and dated on verso.
