Wisteria Covered Bridge is a chromogenic print from The Giverny Portfolio, a portfolio of 25 photographs by Stephen Shore (b. 1947) made with an 8x10 view camera during three trips to Monet's gardens at Giverny in 1977, 1982, and 1983, and printed at Laumont Photographics by Kylie Wright under Shore's supervision. The image depicts the iconic Japanese footbridge over the lily pond, its green-painted iron railing and wooden planking draped and canopied by cascading wisteria, the profusion of lavender blooms framing a view of the water and garden below. Signed and dated on verso.
