Ashkelon Complete Portfolio is a portfolio of 20 C-prints by Stephen Shore (b. 1947), documenting the ancient archaeological site of Ashkelon, Israel, photographed in 1994 and printed at Laumont Photographics in 2006. The complete set presents a sustained black-and-white survey of the site in its full range — excavation trenches and artifact fragments in situ, ceramic vessels emerging from the soil, skeletal remains, sorted sherds on worktables, the coastal excavation from the air with the Mediterranean visible, and the deep stone walls of an ancient cistern — housed in the original cloth-bound folio case.
