English Speaking Union II is an archival pigment print from Social Graces, a portfolio consisting of 15 photographs by Larry Fink documenting the social rituals of American life across lines of class and occasion. The image depicts a crowd pressed tightly together at a party or club, a young woman at center in a black polka-dot top holding a drink to her lips and smiling at the camera, flanked by other figures whose arms and bodies press in from all sides, a bold black-and-white striped and wavy mural covering the wall behind.
