"Kitchen Scene" is an oil on canvas by Spanish artist Abelardo Marquez Velazquez (b. 1942), signed lower right. The work depicts a restaurant kitchen interior viewed at close range, with a row of pots and pans hanging from an overhead rack above a counter set with stacked white plates, a wine bottle, and fresh vegetables, and a foreground prep table bearing bowls of ingredients, with a darkened doorway opening into an adjacent room at right.
