Le Grande Famille is a lithograph after Belgian Surrealist artist Rene Magritte (1898-1967), dated 2010, estate stamp signed and numbered in pencil, edition 165/300. The print reproduces Magritte's celebrated image of a white bird in flight silhouetted against a stormy grey sky and ocean horizon, through whose body a clear blue sky is paradoxically revealed — a characteristic Surrealist inversion in which interior and exterior realities are transposed. Image size 24.25 x 19.75 inches. This work was completed posthumously by his estate.
