Pablo Picasso's poster featuring the rendering of a bullfight as viewed from the stands is a classic choice of subject for the artist. Performing with the traditional muleta (flag) in one hand and a sword in the other, the matador thrusts his sword into the shoulder of the already-injured bull for the estoca (final blow) and death of the animal. This poster was designed by Bellini, using as subject, the aquatint "The Coup de Grace" from the series painted by Picasso to illustrate the book "La Tauromachia o Arte de Torear".
