Waterlilies is a chromogenic print from The Giverny Portfolio, a portfolio of 25 photographs by Stephen Shore (b. 1947) made with an 8x10 view camera during three trips to Monet's gardens at Giverny in 1977, 1982, and 1983, and printed at Laumont Photographics by Kylie Wright under Shore's supervision. The image depicts the water garden's lily pond — clusters of rounded lily pads floating across still water in blues and greens, the surface a quiet mirror of the surrounding vegetation. Signed and dated on verso.
