Windstorm is a gelatin silver print from On the Acropolis, a portfolio of 25 photographs by Tod Papageorge made on the Athenian Acropolis in the summers of 1983 and 1984. The image depicts a crowd of tourists caught in a windstorm on the plateau — a shirtless young man at center rakes his fingers through wind-blown hair, a woman beside him presses a camera to her face, others clutch hats and shield their eyes, a boy standing atop a column drum in the background. Signed, titled, numbered and dated in pencil on verso.
