Des-Monstration is an etching and aquatint on wove paper mounted to card backed with silk by Chilean-French Surrealist artist Roberto Matta (1911 - 2002), dated 1980, edition 34/70. The print presents a dense field of biomorphic and mechanical forms in red, black, and white satellite-like structures, geometric armatures, and figural silhouettes inhabiting a charged space characteristic of Matta's fusion of Surrealism, science, and cosmic mythology.
