English Speaking Union is an archival pigment print from Social Graces, a portfolio consisting of 15 photographs by Larry Fink documenting the social rituals of American life across lines of class and occasion. The image depicts a man and woman dancing in close embrace, the man's back to the camera, the woman's arms draped around his neck, her face turned toward the lens with a direct and searching gaze, an elaborate crystal chandelier with unlit candles hanging above them against a darkened ceiling.
