Looking over a tide pool surrounded by small plants and rocks, Olga Poloukhine's beach scene features the hallmark elements of any beach including beachgrass and sand dunes while only allowing the viewer to see a glimpse of the ocean. A common aspect of her work, the artist's limited inclusion of the actual ocean does not limit the scope of her beach scenes, as she compensates by including many other elements found in these environments with careful detail.
