Young Girl is a gelatin silver print from On the Acropolis, a portfolio of 25 photographs by Tod Papageorge made on the Athenian Acropolis in the summers of 1983 and 1984. The image depicts a young girl walking across the sun-bleached plateau toward the camera, a woman seated nearby wrapped in a towel, the Parthenon partially encased in restoration scaffolding receding into the background among scattered visitors. Signed, titled, numbered and dated in pencil on verso.
