Robert Indiana (American, 1928-2018) created the "American Dream Print Portfolio" in 1997 after working on pieces of the American dream for over 30 years. Within these prints are bright bold colors and symbols which held various meanings for Indiana. Most prints have circles, stars, numbers or stenciled letters. This print is an abstracted form of the word "Art". Indiana is creating a playful image and is poking fun at the art world.
