Overview of Garden is a chromogenic print from The Giverny Portfolio, a portfolio of 25 photographs by Stephen Shore made with an 8x10 view camera during three trips to Monet's gardens at Giverny in 1977, 1982, and 1983, and printed at Laumont Photographics by Kylie Wright under Shore's supervision. The image depicts the main gravel allée of the garden seen through a large semicircular iron arch, flower borders lining either side in late summer bloom, a second arch and green gate closing the far end of the path, and tall trees silhouetted against a clear blue sky. Signed and dated on verso.
