Pa¡jaros Carniceros entre Chile y La Argentina is a screenprint on Arches by Colombian artist Enrique Grau Araújo, from the Graficario de la Lucha Popular en Colombia — a 1977 portfolio of 32 works by 32 Colombian artists aimed at bearing witness to popular struggle and effecting social change, with proceeds from sales supporting the Colombian Communist Party. The print depicts a writhing mass of predatory birds kookaburras, toucans, cormorants, and kingfishers stacked against a mountain-and-cloud backdrop in an allegorical vision of political predation across the Andes. Signed, titled, numbered XXVII/XLV, and dated in pencil.
