Settled along the hillside, Carol Ann Shelton's buildings are rendered flat as they overlap one another, creating depth without the use of perspective and relying only on the use of overlapping shapes. Rendered in primary colors with a few secondary, the bright expanses of color enliven the landscape altogether.
