Marc Chagall (Russian/French, 1887-1985), took a trip in 1931 to the Holy Land, which shook his perspective, spiritually and creatively. In 1960 he created Drawings from the Bible, consisting of 24 color lithographs illustrative carious scenes from the Bible. We see here Rachel, who was forced to steal her fathers graven images, which assured her to receive her father's inheritance. Her father chased her, but she hid them under her on the camel. Here she is sitting on the camel while her father asks her to come down.
