Ralph Fasanella was known for his renditions of working-class life in New York City. The vibrant print details the Feast of San Gennaro festival which takes place in Little Italy in New York City every fall. The festival began in 1926 when immigrants from Italy took to the streets to celebrate Saint Januarius the Patron Saint of Naples. At the end of the street, we can see the small chapel and saint that are erected every year for the festival.
